Six Weeks And Counting

Posted by on

It has been an amazing six weeks since we launched Lavender and Canvas! We have spent over a year leading up to the launch designing, sourcing, lining, sewing, and creating - on repeat - making sure Lavender and Canvas debuted on July 1, 2017 with a gorgeous starting lineup. Our bags are for work, for travel, for moms, for the beach, for the gym, for a night out - essential bags for everyday chic.

Handmade right here at home in Los Angeles, our bags use premium US leathers, top quality army duck canvas and special textiles sourced from across the globe (including 100+ year old Hungarian grain sacks, traditionally dyed Mali mudcloths and 80+ year old vintage indigo among others).

Since our “official” beginning six weeks ago, we’ve had a blast showcasing at back to back events, meeting countless new customers, fans and fellow makers and of course, sharing our work with the world! In this short time, Lavender and Canvas has grown from a single web page to a national presence through stores, boutiques and our awesome customers across the country - and we couldn’t be more grateful for such an incredible response.

We’ve even caught the eye of the top primetime television awards Style Lounge, and it is our huge honor to be one of just fourteen brands sharing our work with TV’s elite stars and influencers in September as they get ready for a weekend of red carpets and awards.

Lavender and Canvas is a dream project for my mom and me (we are a mother-daughter team!) and we are so thankful for the remarkable outpouring of support for our new business and our designs.

If you are in or around Los Angeles this weekend, August 19 & 20, come see us at one of the country's best craft shows, Unique Summer Market - we’d love to meet you! This is an event you don’t want to miss, with over 150+ insanely talented makers and designers showcasing their cool products in Santa Monica’s famous Barkar Hangar.

We look forward to sharing our growth with you in the weeks, months and years to come!

Love,

Riley (daughter) & Jesse (mom)
